Haven Ministries

Haven Ministries is a nonprofit organization providing hope to those in need in Queen Anne’s County by supplying shelter, clothing, food and support. Ministries include Haven Ministries Homeless Shelter, Our Daily Thread Thrift Shop, Haven Ministries Emergency Food Pantry, Resource Center and Street Outreach.

  • Our Vision: To secure a permanent facility for shelter for those less fortunate.
  • Our Goal: Helping people get back on their feet is the goal of Haven Ministries.
  • Action: Haven Ministries changes lives by providing assistance and empowering the homeless through financial, emotional, and spiritual support, and you can help! Volunteer with Haven Ministries and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors!
  • Future Goal: Housing Assistance Program. Haven Ministries is actively seeking a building to purchase that would enable clients to live on the property long term for a reasonable fee.  A voluntary case management component will be part of the plan for the new site.

Our Faith Statement

THE APOSTLES’ CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
