Haven Ministries Benevolent Fund is for helping people when an
emergency arises. We provide funding to help pay rent or electric once a
year for a total of 6 times in a lifetime.

 

Rules for qualifying are as follows:

1. Must live in Queen Annes County

2. Haven has not helped financially more than 6 times

3. Haven has not helped financially in the last year

4. There is a true emergency – loss of job, death of a spouse, accident,
etc.

5. This fund is not for paying your bills if there is no emergency

6. We will help once. BEFORE we help again next year, you are
required to take a one hour Financial Literacy Course with Mary
Jourdak of the Jacob Sloan Center. This course is to review
budgeting and other skills to help you manage your funds to help
alleviate future needs. Please call 410.739.7859 or email

7. If the budget class is not taken and you need help the next year, we
will help AFTER you have taken the class
