EXTENDING HOPE

At Haven Ministries, we are dedicated to providing essential support and care by providing  shelter, food, clothing and resources to those facing poverty and hardship. Our mission is to bring hope and help and to educate those in need, empowering them to build a better future for themselves and their families.

Our Services

& programs

There are people you see everyday throughout the county who have experienced hardships and might not have a safe or warm place to sleep, enough food to get through the month, or are facing eviction or job loss. We provide Emergency Services to Men, Women & Children in Queen Anne's County.  If you need help please call 410-827- 7194.  

Emergency Shelter

Anyone in need of shelter can call the emergency Shelter Case Manger at  410-739-7859

The shelter is a temporary winter shelter serving the homeless of Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. The shelter operates October - April providing  a safe and warm environment for the night to men, women, and children. We serve meals along with assistance for clothing, food, and other necessities to all shelter guests.

Emergency Food Pantries

Anyone in need of food can call 410-827- 7194

Haven Ministries operates (2) Food Pantries configured as grocery stores, allowing clients the dignity of “shopping” for their food.  Food is provided through donations from the community, individuals and purchases through The Maryland Food Bank.  Donations are received in person at our Queenstown location or by shipment from the

Amazon Wish List.

Our Daily Thread Thrift Store is our “boutique” thrift store selling donated clothing and accessories at deeply discounted prices to the public to generate revenue to operate our programs. Donated clothing is also provided to those in need from the donations received at the store.

Haven Ministries partners with local artists to provide artwork to beautify the homes of clients transitioning to housing.

Homes of hope

Anyone in need of housing assistance can call the Housing Case Manger at  410-739-7859

We have (2) homes providing a long-term housing assistance program which offers year round services. The program allows individuals and families to apply for help and is structured as a landlord-tenant relationship. The goal of the Housing Assistance Program is to offer clients the tools needed to successfully move to safe and affordable housing.

Resource Center & Benevolence Fund

Anyone in need of help can call 410-827- 7194

Our Resource Center is open daily to respond to individuals requesting assistance for food, clothing, shelter, and other forms of support. The Benevolence Fund is funded by area churches, organizations and individuals and administered by Haven Ministries case management staff to provide financial assistance.

Our Street Outreach program responds to the housing crisis in the community by meeting with individuals wherever they are and connecting them to services.

Hope Furniture Warehouse sells used furniture and household goods at discounted prices to the public to generate revenue to operate our programs. Donated furniture is also provided to those transitioning to a permanent housing environment.
