Story of HOPE!

We are incredibly proud of Loretta, who lost her support system and reached out to us for assistance. After experiencing a period of homelessness, Mary Jourdak, our Housing and Shelter Director, successfully placed Loretta in a program with Crossroads! The impact this program has made on Loretta is undeniable, as she is currently undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnoses.

Crossroads provides her not only with essential medical care for her cancer, but also equips her with skills for successful independent living. She mentions that they are able to drive her across the bridge to her medical appointments.

Loretta is making remarkable progress and feels a renewed sense of hope for her recovery and future. She has expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the resources offered at the Jacob Sloan Center, sharing, “Without the assistance and compassion of the staff at Haven Ministries, I don’t know where I would be today.” It’s heartwarming to see her journey unfold, and we are honored to be part of it.
